I lead a Level Design team at Ubisoft Düsseldorf for 2 years during the development of ‘Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR’. We designed the ‘Ezio’ missions set in Renaissance Venice and Monteriggioni. Part of the fun and challenge was to recreate popular locations from previous AC games with Virtual Reality in mind and expand them with entirely new spaces while staying true to the original (while meeting the demands of the target hardware). My main duties consisted of managing the team, facilitating collaboration with other disciplines and making sure that the goals by our directors were met/the vision was achieved. At its peak size the team consisted of 10 Level Designers and Technical Level Designers.
